Open Area Occupancy Sensors

baylightingoccupancy-sensorsAutomated controls help to increase the efficiency of lighting by an estimated 40%. Occupancy sensors can be directly attached to each individual fixture. That way, only the fixtures that are actually being used at any point and time are energized. Couple an occupancy sensor of this type with daylight harvesting technology, and facility lighting efficiency if improved even more.

There is such a wide range of the various types of application used for these automated devices. This causes a great variation in the amount of energy savings created by each device. Yet, they do all provide savings, as determined by Rocky Mountain Power (RMP), which says they’re well-worth the investment costs.

Because of this, RMP has incentive that cover a great portion of costs pertaining to buying and installing such sensors. That means that even more savings is passed on to anyone investing in open area occupancy sensor technology.
